Kiwi Cranberry Sauce

    2 large oranges
    1 inch thick strip orange peel
    4 SunGold Zespri kiwifruit, peeled and diced
    1/3 cup sugar
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    12 oz. fresh or frozen cranberries


Cut oranges in half and squeeze juice into a bowl and remove any seeds. If this doesn’t yield 1 cup, add water to equal this amount of liquid.

Place juice and all remaining ingredients except cranberries in a small saucepan over medium high heat. Simmer, stirring frequently, until sugar is dissolved.

Add in cranberries and bring the mixture to a boil. Lower the heat and gently simmer for 40 minutes, until cranberries look shiny, soft, and ready to pop and the whole mixture is thickened.

Take out the orange peel, and place in a serving bowl. For a thicker sauce, cover and place in refrigerator overnight.
